Self Care Tips

Aloha Friends,

Happy Fall. October is my birthday month! I’m a Libra. Anyone else? Our sign is represented by scales and reflects our obsession with balance and harmony in all areas of life. What’s your sign?

In this blog post, I’ll be sharing with you a few self care tips that help me balance my life. I hope you’ll find them helpful!

Libra Tip #1: Make time for yourself

Making time for yourself is good for you. Time for yourself is time you spend doing something for yourself. We all need a little “me time” now and then.

The great thing is, it can be as little as a five minute break or a weekend getaway! I like to spend my Sunday morning at home on the couch eating breakfast and watching my favorite cooking shows. How do you like to spend your “me time”?

The idea is to block out time in your busy schedule to do what you love. Which brings me to tip #2.

Libra Tip #2: Do what you love

Whatever is good for your soul — do that.”

I’m not sure where this quote came from, but I love it! I think I saw it on Pinterest, and it totally resonated with me. When was the last time you did something you love?

I find I’m happiest when I’m doing what I love —market day, going on food adventures, baking a warm batch of muffins, or sleeping in on the weekends! What brings you joy? Go do that!!

Libra Tip #3: Appreciate yourself

Ugh. Libra are people pleasers. If you are constantly trying to take care of others, you’re going to forget about your own needs. This also goes for non-Libras.

Don’t change to please others — by the end of the day, you’ll be feeling exhausted and neglected. Appreciate yourself and take care of your needs before you can others.

To recap, for balance in life — make time for yourself, do what you love, and appreciate yourself.

Bonus Tip: Burn my new Coco Beach Luxury Soy Candle for relaxation. This scent reminds us of sitting on a beach in the tropics with the beautiful aroma of warm coconut and subtle addition of peach vanilla.
